Fellow Boomerang lovers and haters and cartoon fans alike. I made this page to help pay tribute to the only 24hr cartoon channel on American TV, but it came with some punishments. As many of you noticed, I haven't been keeping up with the news nor schedule changes (there was a major one just recently). The news is getting harder and harder to cover. This is due to a lot of reasons. I was hoping it would mostly be news with Looney Tunes and other classic cartoon related stuff. However, there has been so much activity with other stuff. And while it's good for some shows like Pokemon since I love that show, others such as Sonic I am not a major fan of. The blog soon became more and more biased. The classic stuff became more depressing as if they are disappearing or treated badly. Not that they are, but it sure seems that way. Finally, as some of you noticed, I like a lot of things, and I do mean...A LOT. Boomerang only covers a spec of what I like in terms of cartoons. There's also stuff such as the old Paramount and Terrytoons stuff as well as anime. It helped that Peanuts recently made their debut on Boomerang, but Boomerang never aired Sailor Moon nor has it ever aired Mighty Mouse, Nicktoons, Alvin and the Chipmunks, or The Simpsons. See where I'm going?
So this is my announcement. The blog, like the channel Boomerang, is getting a rebrand soon. We are not going away specifically, but this will no longer be a "Boomerang Blog" anymore. What will it be instead? Well, one of things I thought about for either another blog or this one are some opinions of mine and speculation on some shows. Everybody has opinions, and I certainly do. Sure my Facebook reviews do that, but only specific shows and episodes. I want to cover broader subjects such as DVD reviews among other things. For example, one that I really wanna do is an article figuring out if there really are Rocky and Bullwinkle episodes in the public domain. This will cover the stuff I like most and the stuff I may even not like, but it will be just an ordinary cartoon blog.
Don't worry though, I have just submitted my site as it was as The Boomerang Blog to archive.org. As for previous articles I have written, don't worry...they are NOT going away. All that's happening is a site makeover. The URL should still remain the same, and what's more, I hope to include some cool stuff in this blog.
Lastly, I don't want this to be a RIP or a good-bye to this page. I repeat...WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE! We are only changing things to cover more stuff. So in essence, you the reader may gain more on this page than lose it. I know I'm going up against some rough competition, but I don't want to be the biggest, I don't want to be the best, I don't wanna give Cartoon Research a run for it's money (because they are awesome). I just wanna have fun covering the stuff I love. So stay tuned, and for those that are following us (mostly me), thank you very much and I hope you continue to follow this page.

Voice Over Actress Janet Waldo Passes Away
Many reports say that voice over actress Janet Waldo passed away peacefully at her home. According to Stu's Show's Facebook, Janet had an inoperable brain tumor. Her daughter Lucy claims that Janet always had a positive attitude despite being in poor health. She had that happy spark right up until the very end. She was 96.
Janet Waldo provided the voices for many Hanna-Barbera characters and shows including The Flintstones, The Smurfs, and many others. Her most popular roles included Granny Sweet on Atom Ant, Josie in Josie and the Pussycats, Penelope Pitstop in Wacky Races and The Perils of Penelope Pitsop, but for everyone around the world, she was best known as Judy Jetson on The Jetsons. Janet also appeared in many acting roles starting in radio but worked her way into television. One notable guest appearance was in I Love Lucy. She played a teenager who had a crush on Ricky. Coincidentally, at that time she was pregnant of her daughter.

Many of these Hanna-Barbera shows have come and gone, but you can still catch The Flintstones and The Smurfs late nights on Boomerang. Many condolences to the family of Janet Waldo at this time.
