Here are your schedule changes you need to know about Boomerang:
First the major news is that Johnny Test will replace the Pet of the Week block at 5pm. There will also be two hours of Courage the Cowardly Dog starting at 3PM ET.
This is Johnny Test's first appearance on Boomerang. Originally airing on Teletoon, this hit show was very popular on Cartoon Network. The series has since been cancelled. While this site is to be non-biased, we will say that Johnny Test has very big controversy about it being an excellent show (unlike current shows like Adventure Time).
Several changes are being made for weekday mornings. Scooby-Doo Where Are You (I THINK...I'm not sure) is no longer on weekday mornings (but still airs on weekends). Chowder is also off the schedule. Replacing them are two Looney Tunes Shows. Baby Looney Tunes makes a return to Boomerang at 8am ET. Followed by Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries at 9am ET. If you count Wabbit coming in October, that's 5 Looney Tunes series total on Boomerang ranging from the classics to brand new material. Which brings the question....Is Boomerang becoming a Looney Tunes channel? Time will tell I guess.
Baby Looney Tunes debuted on Cartoon Network and occasionally on Kids WB in 2002. This is a juvenile series like Muppet Babies of the classic WB characters that appeared in Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. While die hard fans criticize the series for being for young toddlers, the show does provide some great moral lessons such as getting along with others.
BOOMERANG THEATER: This weekend's schedule is as follows....Saturday is the direct to video movie Scooby-Doo Where's My Mummy. Sunday is the direct to video movie Tom and Jerry and the Magic Ring. Both movies start at 9am ET. Whatever time is left in the two hour block will be filled with the classic Looney Tunes (at least a half an hour each, plus one for Tom and Jerry).
All schedule sources came from adult swim's backlog schedule of Boomerang
