Sailor Venus....This is Your Life!!

It's time once again for This is a Life?  America's most talked about program brought to you by Eagle Hands Dirty Laundry and by Metlife....oh wait they got rid of Snoopy....never mind, ax that sponsor.

My next honoree is my all time favorite anime character....oooo..I just love this one so much.  She started out the Sailor Guardian business with her own manga before the main leader was brought about.  Being her birthday this weekend, we have to give her some honor.  She may be obnoxious at times, but it's full of personality.  Representing the Goddess of Beauty and Love..........

This is Your Life!!!!!!!!!

Minako is just another schoolgirl with a normal life.  Her ambitions are to be the best she can be, but even she can be clumsy at times.  Her goals include being the best in volleyball and even becoming an idol.

But then one day, she ran into this cat named Artemis, and told her that she has superpowers.  Once they are awakened.....she becomes..............

Yep, and with some help from Artemis, she uses her powers to fight off the enemy, specifically Crescent Beam, Love Me Chain (and Circle), and my personal favorite, Love and Beauty Shock.  

She did have an awesome outfit.  However, if Venus was to become a major TV superstar, she had to look like a superstar.  I think she looks great already, but that's just me.  Nonetheless, she needed an outfit change which still made her just as awesome.

That's the outfit that she would carry out for the next several years.  

Did I tell you about the time she was a nurse?  No?  Well, she wasn't very good at it I should have you know, but people still love the fact that she was one anyways when Usagi and her friends were sick.

Her biggest ambition is to become an idol.  Being on stage and singing songs just like other idols like Hatsune Miku and the girls from Love Live!  She even auditioned one of the contests, and while she did win, she does learn that friendship means more than fame and fortune.  Still, she could be anything she wants to be.

It wasn't all fun and games sadly for Venus.  She had her major downs including losing someone she was in love with.  It hurt her big time.  It took a while for her to get over it and let him be happy, but it is part of her troubled past.  Then in Sailor Moon Crystal, they messed up big time.  It was based highly on the manga or so it says.  In Crystal, Venus tries to defeat Queen Beryl and fails, giving the job to Sailor Moon, but in the manga.......this happened:

Yeah....she's supposed to be the hero in this scene, but she's not.  The first two seasons were very flawed in Crystal, but they fixed it all up in the third season.  Actually, I think she hit the gym between the two seasons if you know what I mean.

Perhaps she is still jealous of Sailor Jupiter?  Perhaps, and should she be?  No.  Why? Who is the "Goddess of Love and Beauty"?  Correct.  

This is a time for Minako to look and feel glamorous.  It's her Birthday!!!!!!!  She is still a fan favorite and will continue to be one of the best in my book.  So go on, Minako, take the spotlight....it's all yours, show us some Love and Beauty Shock, because Sailor Venus...This is Your Life!!!!
