Creepypastas and Conspiracy Theories: Abandoned by Disney

It's time for another creepypasta.  This one has everyone's head scratching.  Was there really a Disney Theme Park that has been left abandoned???  Today, we look at the story called Abandoned by Disney.

Legend has it that years ago, Disney had plans to open up another theme park called Mowgli's Place.  It was themed like The Jungle Book.  It opened with many locals not thrilled about it.  Many people came and then they just stopped.  Disney cleaned out any website mentioning the place.  Luckily, a blogger just happened to have had promotional stuff telling where it may have been located, and by God there it was abandoned.  As he entered, there was graffiti spelling "abandoned by Disney" throughout.  Because this place had animals, there were some on the loose such as a snake.  Inside the castle, he came across the room that said "Mascots Only".  The door's lock was rusted enough to break open.  He walks down this dark hall which is the basement and found a hangout room where cast members would relax and take breaks (with drinks and everything abandoned) and eventually down the moist hall, a costume storage space. It had mascot costumes of nearly every major Disney character from Donald Duck to Tigger, but the Mickey Mouse costume found lying on the floor is like a photo negative and looked very creepy.  He planned to take something from the place such as a Donald Duck head which was abnormally heavy, but when he grabbed it, a skull fell out and crashed on the floor.  This assumes something happened in this place which involved several murders.  Then the creepiest thing happens, the Mickey Mouse costume stands up on his own.  He then says in a quite tone, "Hey....you wanna see my head come off???"  His head comes off and the ooze of yellow slime assumed old blood with a fowl stench begins slurping out of his head.  The blogger runs out of the room and out of the park as fast as he could, but without reading the final graffiti reading, "Abandoned by God!!!!"
Are you scared yet???  Where did this story come from???  First of all, yes, Disney did abandon a water park and a so called animal park in the Disney World resort.  River Country closed for sure around 2001, but it's not really enough to be considered what the park in this story pertains.  Second, yes, many people have died at Disney parks and resorts (the most recent one gaining headlines is the little boy being eaten by an alligator).  Both guests and employees alike have died.  Most were the fault of the people, but some were at fault of the park.  This is something I tell people all the time, Disney Parks are not this "magical fantasy" place, it's the ILLUSION of such a paradise.  Now is it a good illusion, yes.  But it is still an illusion, so the mere fact of "nothing bad happens at Disney" is all bull.  Complicated machinery and other things are what causes Disney Parks to operate.  So one should still treat Disney like any other place, be safe, be sane.  Have fun, but be smart.

The other thing is that people love stories about abandoned places especially theme parks.  Disney never really abandoned any major theme park.  Plans may have failed, but they were failed before breaking ground.  So folks, there is no Mowgli's Place, and there is no creepy Mickey mascot out there oozing with yellow blood.  It does, however, make a great ghost story at the campfire, so have fun with it.  A well written creepypasta in my book.
