Boomerang Schedule Update: Peanuts set to premiere May 5th. Another movie block added.

Good grief!  Boomerang began running promos for another series premiere for Boomerang.  Originally released if France but will now be dubbed into English, Boomerang will begin running the new Peanuts series.  These were originally shorts, but it looks as though they will be put together as half hour shows.  The series will premiere May 9th at 11:30am ET.  Check out the trailer right now.

The news was originally broken to us back in October.  Based on the popular comic strip by Charles Schultz, Peanuts follows the story of Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Sally, Schroeder, and the rest of the Peanuts gang including the world's most popular beagle....Snoopy.  Nearly 50 years worth of comic strips, followed by many TV specials and five feature films including the recent Peanuts Movie, the characters has since become beloved around the world.  This blog will now cover any news about the Peanuts gang from this day forward.

The schedule change will become effective on Monday May 9th.  It looks as though Looney Tunes will be cut down to an hour to accommodate, but stay tuned for updates there.  In addition, starting this weekend there will be another movie block starting at 3:30pm ET.  We've also noticed a show leaving Boomerang: Transformers.  That means Tom and Jerry will get their 6am ET slot back to 2 hours.  Stay tuned for further updates
